Elder Derges

My brother, Justin, reported to the MTC yesterday! He will be in Argentina before Christmas. As my parents are converts, he is the first missionary in our family so quite exciting (not that it's not exciting otherwise, but you know what I mean). These pictures were from last week, the night before they flew to Utah with my parents. He was getting set apart that night after we all went out to dinner. The kids made him pictures. They were in Utah since Friday and returned today. They were able to attend 2 conference sessions so it was a special time before he left. I am so proud of him! He's such a great kid!

Congratulations on your brother. That is such an exciting time. It is so great to see these young boys go on missions. There is so much temptation that it is very difficult to even get them to make the decision. We will be excited to get updates on how he is doing.

Missions are wonderfully great--as well as hard experiences. We're glad for your family to have this opportunity to share the joy a mission brings.

He looks like a "raise the bar" missionary to me Jaime -- congratulations!
