Nicole ran the K.C. marathon today. I think she finished 7th overall out of the females. We stayed downtown lastnight and ate at Jack Stacks, It's super good barbecue. After the marathon, we went to the Deana Rose Farm (petting zoo). Tanner is in love with tractors so every tractor we walked by we had to stop for a few minutes and let him drive. He loved it.

Good Job, Nicole! I don't think I would have been interested in going to the petting zoo--after running 26 miles. Of course, I would have barely made the walk through the petting zoo, without running a marathon. Tanner does love his tractors.
Thanks! Tanner had the most fun in the hotel room of all places......... It was like a slumber party with mom & dad! And did we mention that he's walking now?? He walked all over the room squealing. It was cute.
Congratulations on the marathon!! Sounds like you had a fun little weekend. I am so happy for you that Tanner is walking. It is so great for the mom and dad when they walk. I totally know what you mean about the hotel room. My kids get in a hotel room and start going crazy. They feel like it is the biggest party ever.
I see you running, Nicole, almost every day when I take Kal to seminary. I never wave or honk though because I'm afraid I'll mess up your groove! It must be fun to know that even post-baby you're still placing in a top position when you run these things. Congratulations!
Wow-what a great job!! I was telling Ron the other day what a dedicated runner you were. I remember one Christmas I was there and all the boys went up to the Willard building to play sports and so you decided to jog up to the church and back-in about 10 degree weather!!!! I thought that was pretty amazing. Congratulations on such a good job!
Woo-hoo, Nicole! You are amazing! Congrats on doing such a great job!
Great job Nicole! A couple of my sister's friends from their ward in KC ran in the marathon! Brandi told me last Friday before the race so I was wondering if you were running in it. When I told her you finished in the top 20 (before I ready your placement today) she was very impressed! We all are! I really admire you for that. Even weirder, Brandi and Logan went to that petting farm on Saturday too! You guys must have barely missed each other, I think she was there with Logan until about noon. (you can see their petting farm pictures on her blog at hastingsbunch.blogspot.com! Logan is riding one of the little tractors there) I just thought that was funny! It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun on your trip! Sorry we missed you at Spooktacular. Thanks for the Halloween card & pics too! The kids were excited to see Tanner and he's on our fridge now!
