Three states in one day!!

We spent one day driving from Mississippi through Alabama to get to Pensacola, Florida to see the Naval Aviation Museum. We also got to see the white sandy beaches of Pensacola which was absolutely beautiful. Cameron and Tom bonded playing video games and Ron and I enjoyed visiting with Britni. We had a great time.

Trip to meet Baby Hailee!

We left Christmas Eve morning to head to Mississippi to see the new grandbaby! She was only 6 days old so incredibly tiny and adorable. I kept telling Britni and Tom that they had a GREAT baby. She never cried except when she was hungry or getting her diaper changed. We loved being able to hold her and Grandpa (although Britni wants her kids to call him PePa! and me MeMa!-we will stick with the traditionals. :) couldn't stop crying he was so proud!

Santa came 3 days early!

Santa came to our house 3 days early! We had our Christmas Eve last Friday with the kids first present given to them when they got home from school. We took them to an afternoon showing of the new movie "National Treasure". We hadn't told any of them what we were doing so they were way excited. We have all been talking about this movie for over a month. Then our Christmas Eve dinner was spent at Denny's, which believe it or not we all love. We came back to do our Christmas program and Ron read the Christmas story and then we sang "Silent Night". The kids sang "Away in a Manger" since I wasn't gonna be able to hear them sing it at church on Sunday. (They went with there dad for a week on Saturday.) Then the first picture is the kids waiting at the top of the stairs while Ron and I run the cameras. The kids biggest present was the Wii. The kids have been gone pretty much since we got it so that has left Cameron playing it pretty much non-stop while we've been at home. His dad and I think he will become pro and therefore master all the sports games before we get the kids back on Sunday!

Dance Recital

We went to Andi and Alyssa's dance recital. They both did such a great job. We ended up taking Micah's two older kids with us so they are the ones on the right. The pics of the girls on stage are not that great but I will try to send them anyway. Their dance teacher does such an amazing job with the kids. Alyssa is the one front and center.

Sledding

The kids love going sledding especially Cade. We have a fun park by our house that has a big sled hill. We took the kids over there the other day. Shayla and I did not last near as long as Robbie and Cade. We had a great time.

Christmas Day

We had such a great Christmas day minus the fact that Robbie ended up spending Christmas eve out snow plowing for the city. He got called out at 9 pm and I got worried because we really needed to help Santa a ton this year. He ended up getting home about 11 pm. We worked until 2 am when he was called back out. He got home at 7:30 Christmas morning. We made sure he got a big nap on Christmas day. We have had a ton of snow here already this year and there is already more in the forecast. Hope everyone had a fun Christmas. We miss all of you.

Our Family by Donna & Robbie's Christmas Tree--I'm not sure why Scott is making a face. :)

Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Nicole and I spent the weekend and Christmas in Manhattan Kansas with her brother and his family. We had a great time. Here's a picture of Tanner opening a present. It's a talking parrot. He was really excited about it until we took it out of the box and it started moving and talking. I guess it spooked him a little.

And then there was Santa Claus!

And then Santa came! Jacob asked for Transformers, Katie for "I Don't Know" which Santa said he wasn't sure what that was but would try to get it for her!! Rachel asked for a real dog! Yea, like that will happen!! And Christopher just sat on his lap so he could get the bag of candy! The kids had a blast and spent a lot of time outside playing on the trampoline or playing football. Ron and I enjoyed visiting with everyone. Uncle Robby had all 8 of his kids there, Aunt Edra had 2, mom had me!, Uncle Mack had 3 and Aunt Lynette had 1. So out of 31 cousins there was 15 of us there. I couldn't believe how many people were there as it was-I can't even imagine what it would have been like if all cousins and there kids were there!! Whew!-Mom (Grandma) has a very large family!

Tarwater program

Okay so this is proof positive that kids can make friends with anyone, anytime, anywhere! Jacob found several boys to pal around with but his bestest little friend was the kid in the yellow shirt named Hunter. Most of the boys in the picture were Darwin's grandkids. Darwin is sitting next to me on the couch. He just got remarried a year and a half ago so his wife and stepdaughter did a very nice musical number. We also listened to Aunt Danell talk to us about the true meaning of Christmas and then we watched Luke 2 before we sang Christmas carols and brought Santa in!!

Tarwater Christmas party

The Food!! Jacob has been learning all about gingerbread men at preschool so when he found the gingerbread cookies in the stash of food-he snagged one and left the rest of his meal behind. We set in the original front room of Uncle Robbby's house with Aunt Karen's family and Aunt Edra. We had so much fun visiting with there family. Uncle Mack and Aunt Karen got to tell us all about there cruise they had gone on in October. Fun for them. The only person from Aunt Lynette's family that was there was Ty as his mom and dad were on a cruise with all of Uncle Ferrell's brothers. My soup was a success-everyone from my family at least ate it!! Yea for there support! :)

Jana's 37th Birthday

We had a BBQ steak dinner for Jana aka(mom), then opened her presents. She got Tickets to a Phoenix Suns basketball game with lower level seats, two of course she needs an escort. She also opened a box of hand made greeting cards, (Costco's best). Then we had friends over for cake and Ice Cream. She is the greatest, we love her so, so, so, much.
