Cameron's mission call!

As most of you know-Cameron received his mission call last Friday. We kept going to the mailbox ALL day on Friday. It finally arrived at 4 p.m. and Cameron got on the phone to start calling all of his friends. We waited until Ryan and Deanna Christensen arrived from North Phoenix at opened it at 7 p.m.. Unfortunately the kids were at there dad's but we called them immediately after he read where he was going. He had his siblings on speaker phone so it was quite memorable for him. He opened his call read where he was going and immediately burst into tears and started hugging his dad. So he is going to the Ukraine mission speaking Russian and will report to the MTC on May 21, 2008. Yea Cameron!

The kids meet Hailee

My kids got to meet Britni's baby (Britni is Ron's third child.) and her husband Tom when they were driving through on there way to California. I joked around with them about bringing there whole house to come visit us! That is because they were moving from Biloxi, MS to Port Magoo, CA where Tom will be stationed in the Navy. They got here Friday night at midnight and left Tuesday morning at 5:30 a.m. We had a nice visit and the kids loved Hailee and Tom. She is cute, isn't she?

Virus?

I was checking the comments under one of Donna's entries and noticed that Merrilee had written in her comments not to check in the other one. Donna had, and it is a virus. Just now, I was going to check the comments under David's pictures of Tanner's room. One of them, I had written the other day, but the other one looks similar to the virus type that Merrilee had been referring to. I assume it is still OK to post pictures and even to post comments and look at them. Just be sure not to open any of the comments that you don't recognize. They seem to have here (in red) written in them for you to click on to get to the virus. Don't go there!
I do enjoy the pictures as well as the good and legitimate comments.

Home Projects

With everyone else doing home projects I guess Nicole and I felt left out and had to join in. It took us two tries but we feel like Tanner's room turned out great.

Seeing all of your kids grow up so fast, and watching Tanner grow up so fast makes me feel old all of the sudden. Is Spencer already as tall as his mom?

Cade's Birthday

Cannot believe that Cade is actually 4. Time sure does fly.

Wrist Fun

Here is a picture of my bandaged wrist and my crazy kids. Robbie has been great help through it all. Hopefully I am on the fast track to recovery.

What We Did in January

Spencer & Scott played a lot of basketball. We had lots of snow! Andi & Spencer participated in the Westridge Elementary Science Fair. Sydney and Alyssa were just cute, as always!

Trip to Scott and Merrilee's old stomping grounds!

Ron had the weekend off (his first in over a month) so after dropping the kids off Friday night we went to eat at Bass Pro Shops (Ron's favorite!) and then to see the movie "27 Dresses". The next morning we were going to go out on the lake but I had a really bad cold so we decided to take a drive to Kearny, AZ to get a hamburger at Buzzy's and to see the open pit mine that Scott used to work at. We had a nice drive and a nice visit with Cameron who came along. We played Truth or Dare on the way there but since you can't really dare much in a car-we got a lot of truth out of Cameron. That made it fun!! He is a good boy and we are now just waiting for his mission call. It could be here by the first of next week-so we have a big map up and everyone is getting to put there guesses up of where he is going. We also drove by your old rental houses (Scott and Merrilee's) but they have changed so much I had to drive by them twice to remember which one's they were. That night Cameron had some friends over and I made tacos for everyone and we watched the "Lonesome Dove" movies!!

Jacob's 4th Birthday

Jacob's 4th birthday was yesterday! I can hardly believe he is 4! He is getting so smart and says the funniest things! Last night we had our old neighbors (when we lived in the rental house) come over for cake and ice cream. Jacob got a bike from Ron and me and a motorcycle toy (that he picked out) from the money Grandma sent and then they gave him a Nerf gun. He had a blast of a day-and mom had to do little work! My kind of birthday!!

We're Still Around

Hi Everybody,
It seems that our lives have been such a blur lately that I wanted to let you know that we're still alive and kickin here in Nixa. Actually, my memory card reader is broken so I haven't been able to upload any pictures lately, I guess I need to get that situation fixed. I have a lot of pictures I want to show you. After my trip to Atlanta earlier in the month we had a busy week. Hailey had her first haircut (YES - she is 3 and just now getting her first haircut!) It's a cute pixie cut and is adorable. Unfortunately, mom can't fix it as cute as the stylists but working on it. It would help if I had a flat iron (I don't own one of those), another item for my shopping list. Then 2 days later Hailey had her first surgery. Well, it was just dental work like Garrett had done when he was about her age, but she was put under general anesthesia at the hospital, which made me a nervous wreck. Kevin thinks it's ridiculous that we get that done for them, but I'm funny about teeth. She only had cavities to have filled but I wanted to nip it before it got worse. Garrett hasn't had a cavity in the past 2 1/2 years since his teeth were done (I know not as clean of a record as Yvonne!), he just had a check up. All of Hailey's teeth were great except the top front ones, which is what everybody sees! I know, so vain! She did well and except for a tough day on Friday while the anesthesia was metabolising, she's fine. Kev and I went on a date Sat night, ate at Chilis and saw "Bucket List" - GREAT movie, you've got to see it. It was funny, my parents happened to be at the same movie at the same time so we sat by them. My sisters, Callie & Emily, babysat so stayed the night at our house like they do a lot.
Kevin started back to school, he's juggling classes, studying, working and being a husband and daddy - and is doing a great job. We miss him at nights now, he usually works from 3-8 after his classes each day except for Tuesdays when he has anatomy lab. He even works Saturdays too. The kids have been used to having him pick them up after school since I take them in the mornings, and they complained for a while that daddy wasn't picking them up any longer! (I think he just lets them get away with more :) so I'm the mean one.) I'm too busy at work, primary is great, that's about my life. I know I've gone on and on, but I just wanted to say hi. Sorry if you read all of this. I'll try to get some pics up soon. We love you all!

Happy Birthday!

I just wanted to post a quick note since I am terrible about sending out Birthday cards to tell everyone who is having or who has had a birthday this month - HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!! This means Merrilee, Todd, Scott, Cade and Jacob!! Hope everyone has had or will have a great birthday! Just know we in Arizona are thinking of you and pray for ALL of our family daily.

Go Packers!!

Most of you all have gotten into College Football but we still love our NFL sports teams. I of course, still love the Dallas Cowboys so was sad to see them get beat yesterday. But on Saturday our home was quite lively while the Packers were playing. Ron is a die hard Packers fan and the high decibel level in our home was proof that there was a lot of yelling and hollering!! Ron still today (2 days later) can't hardly speak since losing his voice at halftime! So now we only have our Packers to cheer for!! Go Packers!

Happy New Year!

Just wanted to wish you a happy new year and share a couple of pictures. One I took the Sunday before Christmas and the other was when we went to see Wicked with Jodi and her kids at the beautiful Fox Theatre in downtown St. Louis. We had a blast! I just hope it can tie me over until April 15th because I'm already up to my neck in tax returns!

Happy New Year!

Christmas Break in Idaho

These are pictures from our snowmobiling trip and Merrilee's birthday.
