Yesterday our family went up past Payson, AZ to the edge of the Mogollon Rim to go squirrel hunting! I was the driver, Ron and Cameron were the shooters and the kids were the lookouts and chasers!! This whole process is pretty funny but is A LOT of fun!! Even I surprised myself by hootin and hollerin when we would get one. Overall for the morning we got 5 squirrels. Rachel surprised all of us by having, "The best time ever." She wanted to hold every single one of them and then her and Katie went outside with Ron when he was cutting them up to get the meat. Christopher saw one cut and ran inside and puked!! He will never be a doctor! We had a great time-in fact the kids all voted in the car on the way home that everyone that day had a blast! Except Jakie-see picture below! lol

Beautiful country you were in, and sounds like you had a great family activity. When you said that Christopher came inside to throw up--were you in a cabin or was it in the car? Just wondering why he didn't choose the great outdoors!
I've never heard of squirrel hunting before. Did you eat the meat? Was it tasty? FYI -- that was a wig Brie wore for Halloween -- not her real hair!
Christopher threw up when we got home because Ron didn't gut the squirrel until we got home. Sorry I didn't make that very clear. As for the meat tasting--we have it in our freezer. I'm a little nervous about it but Ron and Cameron swear it is some of the best meat they have ever eaten!! Yikes--we will see! lol

Hey guys, Jana you'll have to let me know how that meat tastes. I'm very curious about it. Looks like you guys had a blast. You have been doing so many fun family things together. That is very awesome. :)
