I am trying to create a web album so you can all view my photos. These photos are of our Labor day weekend trip to Fillmore, UT. We had such a great time. We got to golf, ride 4-wheelers, and relax. Robbie also took Cade dove hunting on Monday. Fillmore is a really cute small town. They really cater to ATV riders. You can ride your 4-wheeler anywhere throughout town. Cade thought that is was so cool that we could ride the 4-wheeler to the grocery store. There is also tons of mountain trails that you can ride straight from town out to.

The other pictures are of Cade's first day of preschool for the year. Most of you will probably recognize Cade's buddy Luke in those pictures. I hope this link will work. If not I will try again.

Columbia Marathon

We had so much fun in Columbia this weekend with Todd & Nora!! I ran the "Heart of America Marathon" on Labor Day and finished as the 2nd female. It's a really small marathon, only about 130 people, no awards or anything. But I felt great and it was a nice race. We ran on gravel roads and the Missouri Katy Trail and some hills that were so steep everyone walked up them (I've never seen that before). It was 73 degrees at the 6:00 am start. A very beautiful race that took us by the river bluffs.
The best part of the weekend was seeing Tanner & Nora play together. They played like best friends for 2 days straight! No disputes over toys or anything! It was unbelieveable. Nora shares her toys VERY well and Todd was a great host. He's got quite the pad - it was like heaven for Tanner because mom wasn't trying to keep it picked up :-). I just wish they lived closer because Tanner adors "Nowa".

Go Diamondbacks!!

A friend of ours in our ward got the Owner's Suite at a Diamondback's game for his birthday from his wife. They got to invite 36 friends to join them. We had sooo much fun-with unlimited amount of food and drinks. We had the best hot dogs I had ever tasted, nachos, chips and Haagan Daz ice cream bars!! Yummy! They gave us these funny hats when we first walked into the game-which is why we had to take several photos with them! It was a great night!! The only bummer was that we lost 6-2!! Go D-backs!!

Petrified Forest

While we were up at Ron's mom house-the day before the funeral-we drove up to the Petrified Forest (only about 45 minutes) to spend time with Ron's cousin and his family. We enjoyed it-until the Park Ranger came with his gun and wanted to go through all the children's pockets!! Rachel and Katie were crying and upset. The ranger had seen all the kids pick up crystals at the last stop-unfortunately he didn't see them throw them back. It was quite the scene!!

Princesses

These two little ones love to be princesses. The purple on Shayla's face is some lipstick she found of Andi and Alyssa's. The girls make us laugh when they are not fighting.

Summer

So I was looking back at our photos from this summer and I would have to say that I am sad to see summer coming to an end. We had such a great summer and especially enjoyed the moments that we got to spend with family. We loved going swimming with Merrilee and the kids almost weekly. We also got to spend some time together on the lake. We went to some area parades and the local carnival. Cade took karate lessons for the summer.

Alyssa's 1st Soccer Game

Alyssa's 1st soccer game ever, was also on her first day of first grade. She was pretty tired out that night. The top picture is of her playing goalie. The bottom picture is of her during warm-ups. It's always easier to get a picture before the game. :) She had lots of fun and played well!

First Days of School

Spencer started school on the 18th. The girls didn't get to start until the 20th. The 1st and 2nd graders had assessments the first two days. It was tough to wait! :) They all really like their new school (due to a district bounday change) and their teachers. Syd had to get in on the photo shoot too.

practice run

I can't remember how to get to our pictures! I did want to practice posting on the Jarvis Family Blog, though, now that we have high speed internet. I did think you might like to see these Grandfathers of mine since I did come to them while hunting for a picture. Aunt Edra just had a cousin give her the pictures and she e-mailed them to me a couple weeks ago. I did already have the picture of Joseph Beecroft but haven't ever seen one of his son, John. He's my grandpa's father. I'm sad that it is a damaged picture--but when it is all you've got--better than nothing.

First day of school

The kids started school today!! They are so excited they couldn't hardly sleep! This will be our last time all year that they get up on time!! Hee!! Christopher starts 6th grade (junior high) so he has several different teachers and will have a whole new experience this year. Rachel starts 4th grade and Katie starts 2nd. Jacob got his lunch prepared too-hoping that he could go to school as well. He has one more year to wait! Ron gave them all "Father's" blessings last time which was very special. We sure love a great step-dad! Good luck kids-I love you! Mom

Our little cowboy dude!

Jacob has really gotten into being a cowboy! He runs all over the house hiding from the bad guys and then coming out of his hiding place to shooting all the bad guys! The funny thing is-his pink cowboy boots, the apron mom made for us back when I was a girl and his 21st century laser gun!! The whole ensemble is hysterical. We especially liked it when he decided to take a cowboy nap!! LOL He is such a character!

Alyssa's Birthday

Alyssa had her first "friend" birthday party. We went swimming at the outdoor pool in Provo. Donna and her kids and my niece Kathryn also came. It was fun. Scott didn't have to work that day, so he was there too.

That night we had her family party. My niece Kathryn and her husband Joe were also there, but they had to leave before the group picture. I was excited to finally meet Mary. :) We're so glad to have Alyssa in our family. She is our ray of sunshine, and I can't believe that she's already six!
