While we were up at Ron's mom house-the day before the funeral-we drove up to the Petrified Forest (only about 45 minutes) to spend time with Ron's cousin and his family. We enjoyed it-until the Park Ranger came with his gun and wanted to go through all the children's pockets!! Rachel and Katie were crying and upset. The ranger had seen all the kids pick up crystals at the last stop-unfortunately he didn't see them throw them back. It was quite the scene!!

Way to go Rachel and Katie!!! That story cracks me up. Now they will never forget their trip to the Petrified Forest.
