I'm glad to have a picture with all of our children in it after so many years. This picture will bring up some very pleasant memories for Dad and me. We LOVE you all so very much. You have blessed our lives.
This was such a nice picture that one of you took, as we were all gathering for the family picture in our red and blue shirts. It showed how really pretty our cabin spot was with a little bit of the deck showing. Late June 2011
Tanner is a big Brother! Lil' sister was born at 12:33 p.m. She weighs 6 lb 10 oz. and she has cute, fuzzy, blond hair! Mom and Lillyanna are both recovering, mom from surgery and baby from being stuck. She wanted to come out a different direction. The doc really had to tug and pull. But baby and mom are both doing great!
The previous picture is in the yard on the north. This black walnut tree is just outside the fence on the west. The oak tree is in the foreground on the left and others in the background, a few branches from the hackberry tree show up on the right. I wrote about the thousands of caterpillars that showed up. After they ate the leaves, they came down out of the trees and must have gone on to the next trees, since there was no sign of them after they did their damage.
I usually only like to put pretty or beautiful posts on the blog. This time I wanted to show the destructive force of nature that visited 10 days or so ago. You can see the oak trees full of beautiful green leaves and the walnut tree stripped by all of those caterpillars.
