The Bridge!

On the way home we took the scenic route and went through Strawberry and Pine so we could show the kids Tonto Natural Bridge. By the time our two day vacation was over we had hunted for animals, played dominoes, horseshoes and a not so good game of volleyball!!! We went hiking, out shooting soda cans and lots of good yummy food we ALL cooked in the cabin. Rachel told us it was her best nights ever!!!

Fall Break Family Vacation

Well, the kids are on Fall Break for the week and so we took off to the cool country of Arizona to Flagstaff to stay for two nights. Our original plan was to go camping but after seeing 20 degree temperatures at night-I talked everyone into camping-cabin style!! We stayed in a 5 bedroom cabin so there was plenty of room for all 8 of us. (Jaimee-Cameron's girlfriend also came along) These are pictures of our first night we got there. We went out looking for elk and deer and spotted a lot of them!! We came back to the cabin and played Apples to Apples and Horses Putut!! It was hysterical. Jacob isn't in these pictures because he fell asleep while looking for the animals!!

Kristine?

Saw in the comment section one from Kristine. Do we have a new member of the family that I'm not aware of? Just curious.

Rainbows

We saw the coolest rainbow I think that I have seen in many years last Saturday. We went to go up the canyon to Robbie's aunt's property. Right before the turnoff to go to their property, we looked in the rearview mirror and there was this amazing rainbow. I made Robbie stop so we could take pictures. We ended up getting up there though and it rained on us the whole time and was really cold. We left after about two hours, but got some beautiful pictures. The leaves have all been changing up there. Robbie's mom and dad stayed for several more hours and by the time they left it had snowed three inches.

Twilight

Hey Girls,
Have any of you read the Twilight series? And if so, did you like them? I just finished reading them last week. I really liked them, but I think I kind of got obsessed with reading them. They were hard to put down, and then I kept thinking about them and wondering what will happen next. And then the next book I started to read seemed kind of boring, in comparison.

Katie's 7th Birthday party

Katie wanted a swimming party but when the first drops of rain started at the beginning of the party-Katie said it could still be a swimming party but swimming in the rain style instead!! The clouds went away as soon as they came and everyone had a blast-but the person who had the most fun I think had to be Ron! He was the biggest kid out in the pool that day. I've decided he is invited to all the kids parties as the entertainment! Katie is so sweet-and loved every minute of it!

Family Day at Sagauro Lake

Our family lake day was sooo much fun! I got to go on the tube as well-something I had been requesting all summer!!! I ended up with bruises on my elbows but it was all for the fun of it! The kids had just as much fun swimming on the shore as they did riding around on the boat. Wish you were all here to experience it with us!!

Projects...........

So Jana talked me into painting again. She had a dream while she was doped up after her surgery about my house. I actually listened to her and took her advice. I wanted to show her how it turned out. I just did the entryway into my house. I really like it. Jana first suggested one color to me and it looked good in the store, but not so good in my house. So I painted it once. Then completely redid it with primer and the whole works. I did the faux paint. I have been really wanting to give it a try and I am really glad that I did. I also changed out the light fixture. I will have you know that it was me and not Robbie that changed it. I was quite impressed with myself. It was quite a bit of work for one weekend. Robbie did help with the kids on Saturday morning so I could do the faux part of my painting. It probably would not have got done without his help. I am posting the pictures of the first color I did and then how it turned out in the end.

Best Buddies

When Kev and I were in Florida this weekend my mom had a lot of fun with the kids. I guess she decided that it would be fun to take the kids for portraits, they were there for 3 hours! She was going to surprise me but couldn't wait. So I didn't want you to think I'm a picture fanatic (well, I am, but this was all my mom's doing). They did turn out cute, I'm going to use one of Hailey for her 3 yr portraits so now I don't have to go have her pictures taken! Sorry there are so many, I couldn't narrow it down!
We had a fun weekend getaway!
Love, Jaime

Mountains

I also wanted to send a picture of our family up in the mountains. After church on Sunday, we drove to Robbie's aunts property. Robbie's parents had stayed a few nights up there. The mountains are always so peaceful and remind me of the beauty that surrounds us. About two miles from where this property is they had a really bad forest fire this year. His aunt was very lucky that her property did not burn. We rode the 4-wheeler over to the burn area. It was almost a surreal feeling driving into the part that was all burned up. I wish that I had taken a picture. The most interesting part of the burn area was the smell. The fire was at least a month or more old, but the smell was so strong of ash. It was really weird to see and smell.

Jacob's preschool

Jacob started preschool today! He was soo cute and just walked right on in!! He has never had a problem with nursery, friends houses, etc. so I knew he would be just fine. He had been soo excited and running all over the house showing all the kids his new backpack and couldn't wait to get dressed. But when I picked him up-the teacher said he had screamed for his mommy the first 15 minutes!! I was so surprised because he has never been like that! Hopefully we will be great on Friday when he gets to fill his snack bucket!!

Cade's First Day of Preschool

Here is Cade's first day of preschool. He did so great. I was so worried that he would cry and want me to stay, but he did not. I had picked up another little boy to take with us and the both hopped out of the van and turned and waved and said bye. He acted completely happy when I picked him up too. I was so relieved.
(By the way, Cade is standing in front of my house and my pretty flowers.)
